My name is Carol MN Scopes. I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2004 with the Association of Reflexology (www.aor.org.uk) and have been practicing in Reigate ever since! I am also a Mum to 2 boys and when Im not practicing Reflexology, playing Mum or walking the dog, I work part-time looking after special needs children in a local school which I also love.
I had previously worked in the City of London as a Training and Development Manager for a global investment bank and was a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (MCIPD). Unfortunately suffering from post-viral-fatigue after a nasty bout of glandular fever, I was forced to re-evaluate my own lifestyle and took a break from my city career. With the help of complementary therapies and importantly a better understanding of stress management and how it upsets our bodies equilibrium, I have been able to manage my health. I did not return to the City but instead re-trained in the field of Reflexology. I chose Reflexology over other therapies because I was fascinated by how this ancient practice, which has now gained so much in popularity, worked, and it had also helped me hugely. Studying to become a Reflexologist was quite a career change for me and was hard work! Whilst Reflexologists are not qualified medical practitioners we are required to have a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology so that we understand how the body works and thus can treat clients holistically and safely.
Reflexology helped me at a time of immense stress and ill health and I have been lucky enough to help and support many clients over the years.
I am fully insured to practice.
